Coping with Stress & Anxiety
As the pace of life continues to increase, stress is affecting more and more people.
Stress may be caused by many things, often feeling overwhelmed by the tasks surrounding us daily and the pressure to perform. There never seems to be the time to do all the things that we have to get done. Stress can affect us in many ways and has an internal affect on our physical being. Higher levels of stress hormones in the body cause us to be on 'red alert' which over time can induce illness and has even been linked to premature ageing. Stress often results in aches and pains that many of us suffer daily. It can contribute to serious illnesses also that are stress related and so has a profound affect on our very existence. Our mind becomes overly busy, concentration is poor as the internal dialogue in our minds persist and so depression and anxiety can result. So many people are looking for things to 'do' to reduce stress and improve their way of life.
